smile, tender, across the sill
shared wind held by billowed curtain
pregnant with promise
If nothing else tethers us to one another, we will still share our infinite, stunning singularities—that, and the fact that this life belongs equally to each of us. We believe the perspectives born of the singular experiences of those on the margins are not simply worthy of being seen—they are an essential window into ourselves as a society.
Windowsill exists to amplify the voices and illuminate the lived experiences of neurodivergent people from across the world. Our mission is to showcase and champion underrepresented literary and artistic talent, towards a more inclusive and equitable society. At Windowsill, we are especially dedicated to providing a platform for BIPOC and other intersectional perspectives.
We welcome submissions of creative nonfiction and poetry, audio and visual art, and hybrid and multimedia works. Submissions for our inaugural issue are currently open. If you are a neurodivergent writer or artist interested in having your work featured, visit our submissions page for more information.
